SEASONAL FEATURED MASSAGE PACKAGES-

Really Excited to announce Affordable Spa Services newest luxury treatment:

Organic Mocha Cappuccino Body Treatment Package-

This full body 90 minute package leaves your entire body feeling and smelling amazing! To begin the service your therapist freshly blends coffee grinds, brown sugar, and olive oil. This amazing exfoliant is applied in a circular motion to the face removing dead skin, brightening skin, and reawakening a dull complexion (thanks to the caffeine, believe it or not!). Once the homemade scrub has been removed with warm towels, a homemade chocolate mask is applied. The mask consists of oatmeal, honey, cocoa powder, and yogurt. Cocoa contains more antioxidants than green tea or red wine, which means that it reduces redness in the skin, and helps protect against free radicals and UV rays. Honey is a great moisturizer, prevents wrinkles and also has antibacterial properties; so great for getting rid of acne. Yogurt helps prevent premature aging, while fighting acne and discoloration. Oatmeal moisturizes the skin while removing dead skin cells. Your therapist will massage your arms, legs, and feet while the mask hardens. Once the mask is dry and has completed its work on your face, the therapist will remove with steamy towels. Next a face and neck massage is performed with a light moisturizer. Then you will be asked to flip to a face down position so the back of the body can be massaged. Massage is great for reducing stress, increasing the flow of blood and lymphatic flow, as well as reducing pain and tight muscles throughout the body. This service will end with a hot towel over the back. All products used are 100% organic and natural.

Tropical Fruit-
Containing Grapefruit, Litsea, and sweet orange creates this wonderful combination. It is citrusy and earthy. Grapefruit oil comes from the glands deep within the peel of the fruit. It has been proven to have many helpful medicinal uses in addition to boosting overall health. Grapefruit is an anti depressant and antiseptic. Litsea has a lemon scented leaves, white flowers and small pepper-like fruit. The leaves and stem have medicinal purposes and are used in making expectorants, pain relievers and anti-inflammatories. Orange essential oil can be used to relieve symptoms of depression, stress and insomnia. It provides additional skin benefits, including nutrients that have been shown to combat cellular mutations. It also encourages the body to cleanse itself with its diuretic and digestive properties.

Orange compliments this delicate scent by providing additional skin benefits, including nutrients that have been shown to combat cellular mutations. Anytime Massages-

Add basic aromatherapy to any of the below services for just $20 extra
Basic Aromatherapy would include massage with any of our preblended aromatherapy lotions being utilized during your service. (Tropical Fruit, Romance, or Relaxation)

Swedish Massage -
A light to medium pressure full body massage. Great for first timers or people who do not receive regular massage as the easy gliding motions do not cause any discomfort like some of our more focused treatments. These movements warm up the muscle tissue, releasing tension and gradually breaking up muscle "knots" or adhered tissues, called adhesions. Used to treat general anxiety, and promote relaxation.
$80/ 60 mins.
$20 for each additional 30 mins.

Deep Tissue Massage -
This massage is designed to help relieve pain and tension. Deep tissue massage is a medium to heavy pressure massage, designed to penetrate through the layers of muscle. It can be used to relieve pain associated with muscle strain, sports injuries, whiplash, osteoarthritis and other debilitating conditions. Most clients will need to ice muscles down afterwards.
$80/ 60 mins.
$20 for each additional 30 mins.

Prenatal Massage -
This massage is for pregnant woman who are past their first trimester. Prenatal massage is performed with client is a side lying position for comfort and safety. Women who receive regular massage therapy care throughout their pregnancy can get relief from low back pain, sleeplessness, water retention, discomfort from overstretched ligaments, high blood pressure, stress, and hormonal changes.
$80/ 60 mins.
$20 for each additional 30 mins

Reflexology -
Reflexology is massage done only on the head, ears, hands, and feet. The theory behind reflexology is that there are "reflex" areas on the feet and hands that correspond to specific organs, glands, and other parts of the body. The therapist will focus on pressing, gliding, and kneading these areas to relieve tension and stimulate energy throughout the body. This popular form of alternative medicine is generally used for relieving symptoms associated with: Stress and stress-related conditions, Tension headaches, Digestive disorders, Arthritis, Insomnia, Hormonal imbalances, Sports injuries, Menstrual disorders, such as premenstrual syndrome (PMS), Digestive problems, such as constipation, IBS, and Back pain.
$80/ 60 mins.
$20 for each additional 30 mins.

Trigger Point Therapy -
Trigger Points are very painful spots in bands of tight muscle that may refer pain somewhere else in the body. The therapist will treat these knots by applying pressure to them with elbows, thumbs, or finger tips. The therapist will then hold the pressure until the trigger point releases. I love trigger point therapy because the therapist has the ability to accomplish with one session results that would typically take 7 to 10 regular massages. Receiving a trigger point session can be very painful and uncomfortable, however the quick results can be quite amazing. I use this modality frequently for migraine sufferers, fibromyalgia, and chronic back and neck pain and limited range of motion.
$80/ 60 mins.
$20 for each additional 30 mins.

Myofascial Release- (As practiced by Brandi, Shannon, Gracie, and Vetta)
1-Fascia is connective tissue that encases muscles. Trauma, surgical procedures, or inflammation can cause myofascial restrictions. These restrictions can cause chronic pain, and limited range of motion.  The therapist will use passive and active techniques that include stretching and pressure with knuckles and forearm to release these restrictions.  Stretching the muscles and overlying fascia causes increased circulation and lymphatic drainage.  Myofascial Release has been used to treat a variety of conditions including; endometriosis, menstrual pain, back pain, whiplash, sports injuries, migraines, carpal tunnel, sciatica, and myofascial pain syndrome.

2- Myofascial Release (The John Barnes method, as practiced by Rob)

Fascia is connective tissue that encases muscle, bone, nerve, artery and vein, as well as, all of our internal organs including the heart, lungs, brain and spinal cord. Trauma, surgical procedures, or inflammation can cause myofascial restrictions. These restrictions can cause chronic pain, and limited range of motion.  The therapist will use passive techniques that include stretching and pressure.  Stretching the muscles and overlying fascia causes increased circulation and lymphatic drainage.  Myofascial Release has been used to treat a variety of conditions including; endometriosis, menstrual pain, back pain, whiplash, sports injuries, migraines, bursitis, carpal tunnel, sciatica, TMD, fibromyalgia, and myofascial pain syndrome.
Client is encouraged to wear either shorts, sports bra or swim suit in order to allow therapist best access to skin. No lotions or oils are used to allow therapist to best affect fascia without slipping.

$80/ 60 mins.
$20 for each additional 30 mins.

Sports/ Athletic Massage -
Sports Massage was designed originally to help athletes prepare their bodies for peak performance, recovery after an event, and help ease training. However because sports massage techniques stimulate the movement of lymphatic fluid and break down adhesions it is good for anyone, such as those recovering from injury, and chronic pain sufferers. I recommend sports massage for anyone with limited range of motion, because there is a lot of stretching included in a sports massage. There are 3 main types of Sports Massage; post event: received 1 or 2 hours after an event to help body harmonize, restorative: performed during training to increase performance with less injury, and rehabilitation: for alleviating pain and restoring homeostasis. $80/ 60 mins.$20 for each additional 30 mins

Lymphatic Massage -
The lymphatic system is the body’s filtration system that rids the body of toxins, and waste. Lymphatic Massage stimulates the flow of the lymphatic fluid helping the body to heal itself.  Lymphatic massage is great for people with edema and fluid retention as it helps move the excess fluid out of the body. A well functioning lymphatic system boosts the immune system. Lymphatic massage is performed as a series of light pressure fluid movements and draining strokes.
$80/ 60 mins.
$20 for each additional 30 mins.

Cranial Sacral Therapy-
Based on William Garner Sutherland s theory of cranial bone movement (1899), Dr. John Upledger developed Cranial Sacral Therapy in 1983. Studies show that the cranial bones never completely fuse together, thus making them slightly moveable joints. With light touch on the client’s skull the therapist will detect rhythmic movements of cranial bones, and restrictions in the cranial sacral system (membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spine). Then using the same gentle touch the therapist will manipulate the head to release these restrictions and reset the body’s internal computer. Cranial Sacral Therapy has been used to effectively treat chronic neck and should pain, migraines, motor coordination impairments, colic, autism, central nervous system disorders, orthopedic problems, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, scoliosis, infantile disorders, learning disabilities, chronic fatigue, emotional disorders, stress and tension, fibromyalgia and other connective tissue disorders, TMJ, neuromuscular and immune disorders, PTSD, and post surgical rehabilitation. It has also been proven to release endorphins causing client to fall into a state of deep relaxation.

$80/ 60 mins.
$20 for each additional 30 mins.

Thai Massage-
During a Thai Massage session the therapist utilizes their palms, elbows, and feet to press the muscles, stimulate sen (energy pathways) points, and gently place the client in yoga like poses. Although Thai Massage requires very active movements from the therapist, it is very soothing and relaxing for the client, as the client simply allows the therapist to do the work without "helping". Thai Massage has been used to help with many ailments, and feels amazing. As the Owner I can honestly say this is my favorite type of massage since I began doing Massage 8 years ago. If it is not on your bucket list yet, this is something everyone should try.

$130/90 mins.
$20 for each additional 30 mins.

Prenatal Thai Massage-
Same as above except performed in a side lying position for pregnant women who are out of the first trimester.

Zen Shiatsu Massage-

Zen Shiatsu was developed by Shizuto Masunaga, a psychologist and shiatsu practitioner from Japan. It is a form of massage that uses principles from traditional Chinese medicine to encourage the body to heal itself by using the meridians in the body. The practitioner is able to bring balance to the body’s systems by engaging in meditative techniques that allow them to relieve imbalances with pressure from fingers, thumbs, palms, elbows, knees and feet. Like Thai Yoga Massage, this therapy is performed on a mat with the client fully dressed. Zen Shiatsu is useful for dealing with emotional as well as physical discomfort.
